1. Scope and contact
This policy applies to CardEyeQ’s website, applications, collection tools, AI-assisted grading, pricing features, Master Sets, and collector marketplace. CardEyeQ LLC is the service operator. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to privacy@cardeyeq.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number when supplied, display profile, verification and session records, and referral information.
- Collection information: card identities, variants, condition notes, purchase details, binder placement, front and back images, cropped images, grading inputs, and grading-company results you later record.
- Location and in-store information: precise foreground location when you choose to find nearby stock or submit a GPS-verified report, plus public retailer names, addresses, map coordinates, observation times, and product availability you submit. CardEyeQ does not request background location.
- Marketplace information: listings, wanted cards, trade preferences, public region, messages, proposed deal terms, reports, blocks, and reviews.
- Billing information: plan, transaction, customer, subscription, and order identifiers. Stripe processes payment-card details; CardEyeQ does not store full card numbers.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, request and security logs, essential session cookies, and local preferences.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; store and organize collections; identify, price, and analyze cards; produce EyeQ Grade screening estimates; show nearby public-retailer stock reports and verify the store area of reports you submit; operate Master Sets, wishlists, listings, matching, notifications, and chat; process purchases; send service emails; respond to support; prevent fraud and abuse; measure performance; and improve CardEyeQ. Location is requested only while you use the nearby or reporting feature and is not used for background tracking. When you enter a grading company’s returned grade, we may use the comparison to evaluate and improve our grading systems.
4. Service providers
We disclose only the information reasonably needed for providers to perform services for us. These may include Cloudflare for hosting, databases, security, and image storage; OpenAI and card-data or vision providers for AI-assisted analysis and identification; Stripe for billing; Resend and its delivery infrastructure for email; catalog and pricing providers for card identity and market references; and OpenStreetMap contributors, the OpenStreetMap tile service, Leaflet, and its content-delivery infrastructure for interactive maps. Map requests can disclose your IP address, device information, and the geographic map area being viewed to the relevant map infrastructure. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
5. Sharing and public activity
Full Vault records remain private unless you list them or create a sharing link. Community sharing is a separate, visible signup choice, selected by default for new accounts. When enabled, new card scans can post individually after CardEyeQ has saved a positive market value for the card. Price-ready scan posts are sent from 8 a.m. through 9 p.m. Chicago time; overnight scans wait until 8 a.m. Completed rip highlights continue through scheduled community updates. Posts and shared rip pages may show catalog card names, sets, numbers, grades, estimated values, sealed product names, and hit lists. They exclude collector names, emails, account links, private photos, certificate numbers, collection totals, and private notes. Distinctive cards may still be recognizable. Shared rips can also show the product’s purchase price, estimated total value of logged pulls, and estimated profit or loss before selling fees when cost sharing is enabled. The current signup notice includes this choice; existing members can enable it in Discord sharing. Older private cost preferences are preserved. Automatic card-scan posts are held until a saved market value is available; shared rip values may still be marked as pending. Discord receives published content and handles it under its own policies.
You can turn future scan or rip sharing off, or keep a specific activity private, in Discord sharing. Existing private choices and older private activity remain unchanged by this update. Making an activity private disables its public CardEyeQ activity page. Previously delivered Discord posts or copies saved by others may remain.
A marketplace listing may display card images and details, price or trade value, shipping or local preferences, notes, and a general region. A sharing link permits anyone with that link to view the shared report or binder. Marketplace participants can see information you intentionally place in listings, messages, and deal discussions. These are separate sharing choices. We do not sell personal information for targeted advertising.
